Music has always been a big part of my life. My first music memory is of me sitting on the floor in the laundry room at my grandparents house, when I was about 3 years old, and singing a tune I had heard on the radio. The words were all wrong and my Grandma told me so, but I simply replied, “I know Grandma, but I’m a left-handed singer!” And I’ve been singing left-handed ever since.
As Director of Traditional Worship, my job is to rehearse and grow the Choir through relationship and music ministry. All levels of ability and experience are welcome; if you like music and singing, you will feel at home with this delightful group. My goal is to be able to provide music that not only accompanies and highlights our weekly message but hopefully draws us closer to it.
“Words make you think a thought. Music makes you feel a feeling. A song makes you feel a thought.” (Y. Harburg)
Everyone is welcome to join the choir. We meet on Wednesday nights from 7-8.30pm … September through May.
