Kansas City Rescue Mission (KCRM) is a Christ-centered community which offers freedom and hope to the poor and homeless, empowering them to reach their full potential.

Founded in 1950, the KCRM Men’s Center provides safe shelter, wholesome meals, refreshing showers, clean clothing, healthcare, case management, chapel services, adult education, life skills, Bible-based counseling, and residential recovery programs for homeless men.

In January 2013, KCRM expanded its services to include a Women’s Center where it ministers to single, homeless women through a 20-bed modern facility located at 11th and Prospect.

Christ Church was there at the beginning – coming alongside KCRM to help launch the Women’s Center. Today we continue to support the ministry by investing in the women at the center on a personal level. Our teams meet with the women to share a meal or lead a devotional, engage in bible study, and much more – all while building relationships and sharing the healing love of Jesus.

Please contact Linda Peterson, linda.z.peterson@gmail.com or 816.223.2005, if you would like to get involved with this ministry.
