Greetings in Jesus’ name.

Obviously, our nation is in crisis. The headline on CNN this morning was “America in Crisis” and on Fox News it read, “Monday, Bloody Monday.” While watching news coverage last night, my daughter Virginia said, “We need to get people together to pray. The church needs to pray.”

Yes, she is right, but the challenges of gathering people right now given the COVID-19 situation make a quick response impossible. And expediency is a priority. We need to pray, and we need to pray NOW. We need to cry out to the Lord to intervene and heal our hearts and bring peace to our land. “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).

In our own city last night, the curfew order went into effect at 8:00pm and soon after, things took a violent turn. So, I am calling us to join together for prayer TONIGHT at that same time – 8pm – live via Zoom. Just click HERE to log on.  (If you need it, the password is “686647”.)

Keep your eyes on Jesus.

Patrick
