Navigating the Political Season

“The most important issue before us is this: how do we love God, love our neighbor, and love our enemy.  Election cycles come and go.  Politicians rise to fame and ultimately die.  Systems of government constantly evolve under the pressure of shifting human concerns.  God and your neighbor – even your enemy – are not like political cycles.  They are of enduring significance.”  – Bishop Todd Hunter.

Last night Bishop Todd shared a powerful word for our church and all Christians about how to navigate this difficult political season.  It was grounding and stabilizing in a time when not much else is.  I hope you’ll give it a listen.

Also, I encourage you to sign up to join a Life Group if you haven’t yet.  We need meaningful community now more than ever.  Sharing life together helps us to experience the fullness of life that Jesus wants for us.  We have a great new series starting up next week and would love for you to get plugged in!

Have a great week!
Dean.

We send emails throughout the week with various updates, video, and content.  If you’d like to receive those emails (for either Overland Park or Mission) CLICK HERE to sign up!
