We’d love to have you join us in serving outside of our church this spring! Below you can find several different options in the next few months for individuals, families, or Life Groups.

APRIL: Serve with a Food Pantry

CROSSLINES COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Crosslines Community Outreach has a 60 year history of serving our neighbors in KCK. We’ve partnered with them for years now, and we’d love for you to join them in their work!

Here are some options they available in April:

  • COMMUNITY MARKET
Groups or individuals can sign up for a shift serving inside the Community Market.
  • COMMODITIES
Small groups of 4-10 people can sign up to assemble commodity kids for home-bound people.
  • COMMUNITY KITCHEN
Small groups of 2-8 people can sign up to serve a meal in the Community Kitchen

Registration is required and can happen directly through the Crosslines website.

THE MISSION FOOD PANTRY

Twice a month the Mission Food Pantry provides food for 120-150 families in the city of Mission. In the month of April, Christ Church Mission wants to partner with them in this endeavor.

Will you consider helping them in either the preparation or distribution of meals, depending on your schedule?

  • PACKING & PREP NIGHTS
    April 12 & 26 – two shifts available
  • DISTRIBUTION DAYS
    April 13 & 27 – one shift available
  • MOBILE FOOD PANTRY
    April 29

MAY 17: Meal Marathon

Join us for an intergenerational “Meal Marathon” as we attempt to pack 26.2 thousand meals in just 2 hours!

Both congregations will gather at our Overland Park location to pack meals in assembly-line fashion for distribution in local food pantries. Two time slots are available and everyone, age 1st grade and older, is invited to join.

Registration is required; suggested donation of $30/family to cover the cost of supplies.

JUNE 25-28: Provide a Meal @ Soul in the City

We will host 60+ middle and high school students for a week of service in our city, and we’d love to provide some great meals for them!

Will your Life Group consider providing one meal that week? It’s a great way to meet some of our students and serve together as a group.
