The Pastoral Care Team at Christ Church does its best to care for our community by being personally present in times of difficulty and crisis.

There are those within the church who, for various reasons, are unable to join the community in worship on Sunday mornings. That’s where our Lay Chaplains (LCs) come into play. LCs are simply members of our church who love to visit these people, summarize the sermon, and share communion with them.

LCs also provide on-call hospital visitation and support to our parishioners. If you or a loved one has a surgery coming up and would like a Lay Chaplain to pray with you, please contact Amanda Goin Burgess. We generally do not make visits without permission.

While not often seen, this ministry is living out the presence of Jesus in a very practical way.
