Rooted in attachment theory, participants will learn how emotional bonds are formed, why disconnection hurts, and how to foster meaningful connection with others – in our families, friendships, and faith communities. Through teaching and reflection, this training offers a path toward healing, belonging, and lasting connection. No dinner or childcare are available.

Meet the Facilitators
We are happy to welcome Dr. Todd Frye and Melissa Frye, M.A., LCPC, as our featured speakers for this seminar. The Fryes bring a rich blend of clinical expertise, spiritual insight, and compassionate care to their work—and to our event.

Dr. Todd Frye serves as Chair of the Counselor Education Department at MidAmerica Nazarene University, where he has led since 2007. With nearly three decades of counseling experience, Todd specializes in helping individuals and couples navigate trauma, relational loss, and emotional challenges. He is a sought-after speaker and trainer known for his work on suffering, intimacy, and the human need for connection.
Melissa Frye is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a deep background in education, spiritual formation, and counseling. Drawing from psychodynamic and experiential theories, she focuses on the core elements of attachment, emotional processing, and transformation. Melissa regularly teaches and presents on topics related to marriage, family, and holistic well-being.
