Mel Clymer | Deacon
The ordained office of Deacon is one which calls for bridging the gap between “the church” and “the world.” Historically, Deacons were the ones who cared for the orphans and widows, the poor and weak, the sick and lonely. And this is my passion!
Born and raised in Kansas City, I have a background in social work, education, and nursing. Currently, I work as an Orthopedic nurse, both in the clinical and hospital setting. At Christ Church, I interface with the Verger Team (those who help orchestrate the worship service), Women’s Ministry, Women’s Bible Study and Pastoral Care; as well as serving up front on Sundays.
My husband and I enjoy our two children, their spouses, and our three grandchildren, as we love to stay young with them in the mountains and at the lake.
