Nathan Pettit | Director of Student Life
I grew up here in Kansas City, but moved away for college and have lived in several places since – most recently Seattle. My family and I were so happy to return in the summer of 2024. Our family loves this city, and you can find us frequently exploring new coffee spots, enjoying KC staples like the Zoo and the Nelson, and cheering on the Royals, Chiefs, and Jayhawks.
My first experience in an Anglican church came while in graduate school at Wheaton College. I was immediately captivated by its liturgical beauty, sacramental theology, and historical rootedness. When my wife and I moved to Seattle, we quickly found a local Anglican parish and had the privilege of serving in a variety of ways over the years.
Until joining the team at Christ Church, I spent 10 years in Christian education as a teacher and administrator. Over the course of those years, my greatest joy has been fostering community with students, cultivating rhythms of life that invite God’s Spirit to shape us more into the image of Christ, and helping students develop an imagination captivated by the wonder and beauty of God’s Kingdom.
My beautiful wife, Sarah, and I have four wonderful, energetic children. When I find a few minutes of free time, I enjoy reading, basketball, board games, and baking.
